2024 Holiday Fair Features Several Firsts, Including Uncommon Goods® Holiday Pop-up and Grand Central Terminal Holiday Merchandise Collection

Welcoming Back Familiar Favorites Including the Holiday Train Show, Thanksgiving Market, and Exclusive Gift-Wrapping Services

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) officials today announced the return of the Grand Central Holiday Fair on Nov. 11, 2024, debuting brand new vendors and Grand Central Terminal's very own merchandise collection. Presented by The Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT), this year's fair will showcase 36 local small businesses and artisan merchants in the historic Beaux-Arts Vanderbilt Hall, just steps from more than 75 shopping and dining options, and directly across from the Terminal's newest restaurant, Grand Brasserie. Elsewhere in the Terminal, the nearby Biltmore Room will play host to seasonal pop-up storefronts of various vendors throughout the season.

The Grand Central Holiday Fair will run for six weeks, offering goods ranging from home décor and jewelry to abstract art and perfumes. Whether shoppers are looking for a thoughtful hostess present, a sentimental piece of jewelry for a cherished friend, or a cozy sweater for a loved one, this year's fair promises an amazing selection of gifts, many of which cannot be found at other holiday markets across the city.

The fair will be open seven days a week from Nov. 11 through Dec. 24, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays; closed on Thanksgiving; open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"Grand Central is already a world-class travel and dining destination, but with the Holiday Fair, New Yorkers and visitors alike can celebrate the season with homegrown vendors selling merchandise that is as unique as Grand Central itself," said Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi. "It's a joy to see these storied halls come to life with holiday cheer."

"It's such a privilege to be a part of the holidays for so many New Yorkers and visitors year after year," said Grand Central Terminal Director of Retail Leasing and Management Kim Trevisan. "We're especially excited that this year, our new merchandise collection will allow our cherished visitors to take a piece of our terminal with them to enjoy year-round!"

"We are thrilled to be a sponsor of this year's Grand Central Holiday Fair, sharing a taste of Costa Rica's Pura Vida in New York City this holiday season," said Carolina Trejos, Head of Marketing for The Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT). "As the season of giving unfolds, we invite visitors to discover Costa Rica's commitment to wellness, adventure, and responsible tourism, whether they're planning their next tropical getaway or seeking inspiration for meaningful travel experiences in 2025 and beyond."

About Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal is one of America's greatest transportation hubs and one of New York City's most iconic buildings. Grand Central Terminal is the terminus of Metro-North Railroad, and home to a number of boutique restaurants, cocktail lounges, a gourmet market, and many specialty shops. In 2023, Grand Central's historic footprint was expanded with the opening of Grand Central Madison, a 700,000-square-foot terminal and concourse designed to service the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). LIRR access into Manhattan's east side was the most transformative expansion of LIRR service in over a century. For more on Grand Central Madison, visit https://new.mta.info/grandcentralmadison.
