PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) today announced that scheduling is now available for customers aged 65 and older and immunocompromised customers seeking additional doses of the mRNA Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 bivalent vaccines at its locations and at Bartell Drugs locations in the Pacific Northwest. The news follows new FDA authorization and CDC recommendation.

"At Rite Aid, we recognize the critical role pharmacists continue to play in helping our communities fight COVID-19, and we look forward to providing our customers with needed vaccine doses said Karen Staniforth, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Rite Aid. "As these vaccines are now authorized, we strongly encourage everyone to prepare by staying up to date on all recommended immunizations."

Individuals ages 65 and older are eligible for another dose if at least four months have elapsed since their most recent booster, according to the CDC's recommendation. For individuals who are immunocompromised, the suggested interval between shots is two months or as suggested by a health care provider.
