Portion of Two Streets to Temporarily Close Beginning August 20, 21

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of two streets will temporarily close beginning August 20 and 21. The closures are as follows:

  • South 70th Street between Pine Lake and Yankee Hill roads will be closed beginning Tuesday, August 20, for railroad track repair. This work is scheduled to be completed by August 23. StarTran Route 40-Heart Hospital will be detoured during this closure. The recommended detour is Pine Lake to 56th or 84th streets to Yankee Hill Road.
  • Westbound Yankee Hill Road between 27th and 14th streets will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, August 21, for pavement repair. This work is scheduled to be completed by August 25. Local westbound traffic will have access between 27th Street and Executive Woods Drive. StarTran Route 13-South 13th will be detoured during this closure. The recommended detour is 27th Street to Pine Lake Road.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
