(LYNCHBURG, Va. - Nov.7, 2024) - BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) announces the promotion of Robb A. LeMasters to executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) in recognition of his contributions to the corporation and his leadership across the traditional CFO functions of tax, treasury, investor relations, risk, finance and accounting, but also the company's long-term strategy.
"Robb has played a key role in transforming the corporation by supporting organizational development and continuous improvement," said Rex Geveden, chief executive officer. "He brings uncommon vision, commitment and energy to his role, and is a strategic partner in all that we do."
Prior to being appointed as senior vice president and CFO in 2021, Mr. LeMasters served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer, driving BWXT's overall corporate growth strategy in its various markets and overseeing the company's investor relations and mergers and acquisitions functions. Additionally, he was an independent director to BWXT's board of directors from 2015 to 2020. Before joining BWXT, Mr. LeMasters was a managing director at Blue Harbour Group and a founding partner of Theleme Partners.
Mr. LeMasters also previously served as a partner at The Children's Investment Fund and a Vice President in the Relative Value/Event-Driven Group at Highbridge Capital Management. Mr. LeMasters began his career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley & Co. in the mergers and acquisitions group and subsequently joined Forstmann Little & Co. as a private equity analyst.
Mr. LeMasters earned a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
