MFA Undersecretary of State Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef represented Poland at the 45th Ministerial Conference and 19th Francophonie Summit in Paris on 4 and 5 October 2024.

Bringing together more than 50 heads of state and government, representatives of international organisations and businesses, the meeting discussed the activities of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).
Cyprus and Ghana were admitted as new members of the OIF, while the number of observer states and governments was expanded to include Angola, Chile, Nova Scotia, French Polynesia, and the German state of Saarland.

The Summit also marked the opening of the International Museum of the French Language, based in a 16th century palace in Villers-Cotterêts. The next Francophonie Summit will take place in Cambodia in 2026.

On the sidelines of the event, Deputy Minister Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef met with Professor Iwona Pugacewicz of the Centre for Polish Culture at the Paris-Sorbonne University and Professor Małgorzata Smorąg-Goldberg of the Sorbonne. They discussed possibilities for supporting Polish educational and university centres in France.
