Volleyball gold out in honor of President Lovell, Sept. 4

Marquette volleyball encourages fans wear gold to the team's home opener against No. 5 Stanford on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in memory of President Michael R. Lovell. Opening serve is at 7 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center.

Fans can donate in memory of President Lovell to support sarcoma research or the university's Lovell Fund.

The first 100 students who arrive will receive a free gold Marquette volleyball T-shirt and burritos from Qdoba.

Marquette Athletics will honor President Lovell throughout its 2024-25 seasons with "Lovell 24" patches on each team's uniforms. Teams will also observe a moment of silence at the start of their first home event of the season in President Lovell's memory.
