Water Will Keep Flowing During Public Safety Power Shutoffs

Padre Dam's water services will not be interrupted during the current public safety power shutoffs. Water will continue flowing regardless of power supplied by SDG&E. Staff prepared in advance for these shutoffs by raising reservoir levels to ensure water supplies for several days. Additionally, back-up power sources are available at key reservoirs and pump stations if needed.

Padre Dam has invested in ensuring that water supplies remain reliable in cases of emergencies and power shutoffs. This includes creating redundancies in the water system and placing back-up generators at key pump stations and reservoirs.
