As part of ongoing efforts by the Regional District of the North Okanagan (RDNO) to maintain
water quality and infrastructure, a water tie-in for replacement of an existing watermain on
Tuesday, September 3, 2024, between the hours of 7:30AM to 7:30PM. During this period, water service will be temporarily turned off to properties in the 24th Ave. - 3700 and 3800 blocks area (39th Street and East) - see map below. To minimize the inconvenience, we recommend that you take the following precautions:

  • Store an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, household needs, and sanitation purposes.
  • Ensure that faucets are turned off to prevent any damage once water service is restored.
  • Plan ahead for any activities that may require water, such as bathing or laundry.

Following the water interruption, a 48-hour Water Quality Advisory (WQA) will be in effect.
During this time, you may notice reduced water pressure, air in the water, discoloration and/or
increased turbidity (cloudiness). Please run a cold tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.

The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers with weakened immune systems or wishing to take extra precaution should boil their water for at least
one minute when preparing any food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or
ice or when brushing teeth.

This WQA will expire at 7:30PM on Thursday, September 5, unless otherwise notified.
