Oneida, Tennessee - As part of the festivities for the 32nd Annual Haunting in the Hills Storytelling Festival on Saturday, September 21st, attendees are invited to immerse themselves in a series of captivating demonstrations deeply rooted in Appalachian culture and history.

An Array of Demonstrations to Experience:

• Moonshine Crafting: Explore the intricate process of moonshine making, a practice deeply entwined with the region's folklore and economy.

• Revolutionary Period Long Hunters: Step back in time with a camp set-up and demonstrations by historical long hunters from the American Revolution era.

• HAM Radio Operators: Discover the role of HAM radio in Appalachian communities and its significance as a communication tool. Introducing POTA (Parks On The Air).

• Forest Ecology Booth: TN State Division of Forestry Gain insights into the unique ecology of the Appalachian forest, its flora, and fauna.

• Wildlife Safety: Learn essential wildlife safety tips and knowledge, especially important in a region rich with diverse wildlife.

These demonstrations not only provide an enriching hands-on experience but also serve as living narratives that tie into the festival's theme of storytelling.
