Celebrating Shoppers during Shopper Appreciation Week

Instacart wouldn't be what it is without our dedicated community of shoppers. To show our gratitude for all they do for their communities during the holiday season-and all seasons-Instacart hosted a special Shopper Appreciation Week during the week of November 18th.

Throughout the week, we shined the spotlight on shoppers for their contributions across three pillars:

• Continuous Learning: Acknowledging their commitment to ongoing improvement through optional lessons and training.
• Community Engagement: Highlighting their active participation in Shop Talk-a community forum for shoppers to connect and learn from one another.
• Outstanding Service: Celebrating their dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences and retailer support.

The week culminated in an awards ceremony that celebrated three extraordinary shoppers, who embody our key three pillars:

1. Service Award: Samantha W., who has earned more customer compliments than any other active shopper (impressively, more than 15K compliments!), is this year's Service Award winner!
2. Community Award: Elisa M., who joined the Instacart platform in March 2020, is one of the most engaged members of the Shop Talk community, making her this year's Community Award winner!
3. Learning Award: Having completed 111 lessons since joining the platform in 2019, Denyse R. is this year's Learning Award winner!

These shoppers represent the best, and we are so grateful to them! Each of these outstanding shoppers were each awarded $3000 via Stride Save* that they can put towards a vacation.*. Thanks to our partners at Stride, each of these shoppers take some much deserved time-off.

In addition to the awards ceremony, shoppers had the opportunity to win giveaways that emphasize their contributions to the Instacart community.

Thanks to our partners at CarAdvise, five shoppers who completed orders during Appreciation Week and Thanksgiving won $500 toward car maintenance. Congratulations to our winners for spreading holiday magic to our customers. We appreciate CarAdvise for teaming up with us to celebrate these incredible shoppers!

Additionally, five lucky shoppers who completed lessons were awarded with Merit America scholarships - scholarships that will help them gain valuable tech skills through flexible career training programs - helping them kickstart careers in tech. Congratulations, winners!
