The Memorandum of Understanding, which enables the implementation of additional measures for the resumption of flights between our country and Libya after a 10-year break, entered into force on 28 March 2024, signed by our Director General Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK and Libyan Director General of Civil Aviation Abdurrahman Bin YUSUF at a ceremony held at Mitiga Airport.
In addition, in order to strengthen the cooperation between the civil aviation of the two countries, it has been proposed to include Libyan civil aviation institutions and organizations in the data-driven, data-based, dynamic, mission-based, training-supported studies that are being carried out by our Directorate General, which is expressed as the New Civil Aviation Model, which focuses on digitalization.
In this direction, it is planned to include the Libyan side in the New Civil Aviation Model process, to complete aviation trainings digitally, starting with civil aviation safety trainings, to organize aviation activities effectively through useful services and to create a digital twin of the Libyan civil aviation authority through the Corporate Transformation Model (CTRM), one of the New Civil Aviation Model projects.
