Dexerials Will Launch Surface-Mounted Type Fuses on an Online Shopping Website, Chip One Stop

Dexerials Corporation (Headquarters: Shimotsuke-shi, Tochigi, Representative Director and President: Yoshihisa Shinya, hereinafter "Dexerials") will launch some surface-mounted type fuses on an electronic components and semiconductors online shopping website, Chip One Stop, operated by Chip One Stop, Inc*. (Headquarters: Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa, Managing Director: Yasuo Shimokura) on October 28.

Dexerials has already shipped at least 2.84 billion secondary protection devices (as of the end of March 2024), which are essential for the safe use of lithium-ion batteries, since the start of production in 1994. The secondary protection devices that Dexerials develops and manufactures are surface-mounted type fuses widely employed in notebook PCs, smartphones, electric tools, electric motorcycles, and other products. The demand for surface-mounted type fuses has recently increased as the applications of lithium-ion batteries have expanded. Dexerials invested approximately 1.3 billion yen in 2022 to construct a new surface-mounted fuse line, nearly doubling its production capacity to meet increasing demand.

Dexerials has decided to launch the 60A SFK series and 120A SFM series of surface-mounted type fuses, which were only directly available from the company, on an online shopping website, Chip One Stop. Chip One Stop sells products in bulk, starting from small quantities, with short lead times, to design and development engineers as well as procurement officers in the electronics industry, regardless of manufacturers or items. Accordingly, Dexerials surface-mounted type fuses will be available in smaller lots than before.

Dexerials will also focus on developing surface-mounted type fuses that support a wider range of applications, while continuing to aim for a system to flexibly meet growing demand in manufacturing and sales.
