NJ PBS and Rowan to present “NJ Decides 2024: A Conversation with U.S. Senate Candidates” Oct. 15

NJ PBS and Rowan University will present a live conversation between New Jersey's U.S Senate candidates Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. from the Agnes Varis NJ PBS Studio in Newark.

New Jersey's U.S. Senate seat was vacated this summer after Democrat Bob Menendez was convicted of bribery and corruption and forced to resign.

Vying for the seat are Democrat Andy Kim, a U.S. Congressman, and Republican Curtis Bashaw, who will meet in an hourlong event moderated by NJ Spotlight News Sr. Political Correspondent David Cruz and Anchor Briana Vannozzi.

"We are proud to partner with Rowan University to once again bring New Jerseyans an important political event," said NJ Spotlight News Sr. Managing Editor Jamie Kraft. "Rather than a traditional debate, our goal is an evening of productive conversation that provides valuable insight into these candidates to help constituents make an informed decision at the polls in November."

NJ Decides 2024: A Conversation with U.S. Senate Candidates will be broadcast live and streamed across the hosts' platforms. Watch on NJ PBS (check local listings), NJPBS.org/live, the NJ PBS and NJ Spotlight News social platforms and NJSpotlightNews.org. Viewers may also watch live on Rowan's Facebook page.
