Route 837 Closure July 22-24 in Dravosburg

Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing a portion of Route 837 in Dravosburg Borough, Allegheny County, will close to traffic Monday through Wednesday, July 22-24 weather permitting.

A portion of Route 837 between the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge and McClure Street will close to traffic from 7 a.m. Monday continuously through 5 p.m. Wednesday. Crews from Norfolk Southern will conduct railroad track replacement work. Traffic on Route 837 will be detoured.

North of the Closure

• From the closure, follow Route 837 northbound

• Take the left-hand ramp toward McKeesport onto the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge

• Take the ramp to South 148 toward McKeesport

• Follow Route 148 (Lysle Boulevard, West 5th Avenue) to the Mansfield Bridge

• Cross the Mansfield Bridge

• Continue straight on Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard

• Turn left onto Lebanon Church Road

• Take the ramp to southbound Route 51 toward Clairton

• Near the approach of the Elizabeth Bridge, take the left-hand ramp to North 837 toward Clairton

• End detour

South of the Closure (to continue north on Route 837)

• From the closure, follow Route 837 southbound

• Take the ramp to Route 51 toward Elizabeth/Pittsburgh

• Merge on to Route 51 and follow to North 51 toward Pittsburgh

• Take the ramp onto Lebanon Church Road toward McKeesport/West Mifflin

• Turn right onto Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard

• Cross the Mansfield Bridge

• Turn left onto Route 148 (West 5th Avenue)

• Follow Route 148 to the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge

• Take the ramp to Route 837 toward East Pittsburgh/Duquesne

• Bear left toward Route 837 toward Duquesne

• Cross the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge

• End detour

West of the Closure (to southbound Route 837 north of the closure)

• From the closure, follow Route 837 southbound

• Take the ramp to Route 51 toward Elizabeth/Pittsburgh

• Merge on to Route 51 and follow to North 51 toward Pittsburgh

• Take the ramp onto Lebanon Church Road toward McKeesport/West Mifflin

• Turn right onto Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard

• Cross the Mansfield Bridge

• Turn left onto Route 148 (West 5th Avenue)

• Follow Route 148 to the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge

• Take the ramp to Route 837 toward East Pittsburgh/Duquesne

• Bear left toward Route 837 toward Duquesne

• Cross the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge

• From northbound Route 837, turn right toward South 837 toward Dravosburg/Clairton

• End detour
