Council Chair congratulates Olympic Rowing Finalists Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney

On Friday 02 August 2024, Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney competed in the Men's Pairs Rowing at the Paris Olympics.

Speaking about their achievement, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor John McClaughry, said:

"On behalf of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, and on my own behalf, I extend my congratulations to Ross and Nathan on reaching the Final of the Men's Pairs Rowing at the Paris Olympics.

This is a magnificent achievement and it is testament to the years of training and commitment to the sport. From their early days at Portora Boat Club, now Enniskillen Royal Boat Club, to success on the Olympic stage, both are a credit to themselves and an inspiration to other young rowers in the District.

Ross and Nathan have done themselves, their families and friends, their county and their District proud. They are excellent ambassadors for the District and, on behalf of everyone, I wish them every success for the future."
