The Provost's Outstanding Lecturer Award recognizes the university's appreciation of a faculty member's significant and ongoing contribution to the missions of the university. This is an accolade granted to a full-time lecturer at Stony Brook University, based on significant contributions to the university, as evidenced by the quality of the individual's teaching, service and related professional development. This year, the award was given to Sara Santos, Program in Writing and Rhetoric, and Kevin McDonnell, Computer Science.

The Provost's Outstanding Mentoring Award recognizes senior faculty who have served as exemplary mentors. An outstanding mentor has demonstrated exceptional commitment to faculty mentoring of non-tenure track, pre-tenure and mid-career faculty. This year, the award was given to Sandeep Mallipattu, Renaissance School of Medicine, and James Pierre-Glaude, School of Health Professions.

Congratulations to all of the awardees!
