Garden Grove's Taste-of Event and Free Concert this Friday

The City's Foods of Garden Grove Live event is this Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Village Green park, at 12732 Main Street in downtown Garden Grove. A first-time tasting event featuring an international selection of the city's most acclaimed and customer-favored food and drink eateries will also include free live music at the Garden Amp and family-friendly activities. Admission to the event and concert are free. Tickets are needed for the food tastings. Tickets are available for purchase at the event or online at www.ggcity.org/fogglive.

The Garden Amp will host free live music featuring tribute performances to Blondie, Duran Duran, New Order, and the Brian Soto Experience. Following the tasting event, TRANS-X will take the stage from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to perform their hit song "Living in Video."

New participating food establishments include Amarith Table, Apollo Burgers, Bake & Che, Nova Kitchen and Bar, Urthly Vegan Market, and Yigah. For the full list of participating establishments, visit www.ggcity.org/fogglive.

Three tasting packs available for purchase online or at the event are: Fun Pack - five tastings for $10; Foodie Pack - 12 tastings for $20; and Family Pack - 20 tastings for $30. Tickets to The VIP Lounge are $45 per person, which includes 10 tastings, exclusive appetizers, and two alcoholic drink tickets (must be at least 21 years of age to purchase and claim wristband).

The Foods of Garden Grove Live event is part of the re-launch of the City's Foods of Garden Grove initiative, highlighting select Garden Grove international food and drink establishments. The initiative, furthering the City's efforts to support its small-business community, offers a virtual food tour of the City's recognized ethnic enclaves, including Garden Grove's Little Saigon and Orange County's Koreatown, as well as Latin eateries, local favorites, and Michelin Guide honorees.
