Trade of 716,000 Tonnes of Iron Ore and Sponge Iron on IME

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 610,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets and 106,000 tonnes of sponge iron on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 56,550 tonnes of steel coils, 8,050 tonnes of steel blooms, 6,683 tonnes of rebars, 4,508 tonnes of I-beams and 40 trucks.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 11,433 tonnes of chemicals and 1,355 tonnes of polymeric products.

Also, the IME sold 5,500 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

Next was the IME's open auction trading floor with trade of 408 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 37,114 tonnes of bitumen, 10,000 tonnes of granular sulfur and 170 tonnes of waterproofing materials.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 20 tonnes of brass billets and 15 tonnes of tissues.
