Press Release

On July 17, 2024, State Police of Wilton arrested Shana M. Firenze, 39, of Saratoga Springs, NY, for Criminal Trespass in the second degree, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On July 17, 2024, at about 12:10 a.m. Troopers responded to the area of Northern Pines Road in Wilton, NY, for the reports of a two-car crash. Prior to arrival, one of the drivers, later identified as Firenze, fled to a nearby home. The investigation determined that Firenze entered the residence without permission and was unknown to the homeowner. The other driver and Firenze did report minor injuries from the crash.

Firenze was arrested and transported to SP Wilton for processing, where she recorded a 0.21% BAC. Further investigation determined Firenze did not have a valid driver's license and has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Wilton Town Court on August 6, 2024, and released to a sober third party.
