Travel experts recommend that the best time to book flights for the holidays is now to find the cheapest airfare deals. Flights during the holidays, spring break and peak summer periods tend to be more expensive. If you can be flexible with travel dates, you can find better deals.

The busiest days at ICT have been the weekend before Thanksgiving, Wednesday before the holiday, and Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. Fares may be higher on these days. The least busy days (and less expensive) have been the Monday before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, and the Friday after Thanksgiving. If you book on Thanksgiving Day, keep in mind there are fewer flight options, with only 17 departures from ICT.

Experts also recommend taking an early morning departure, which are less likely to experience an interruption than flights departing later in the day.
