Honoring Their Sacrifice

There is a unique band of brothers and sisters that have, for generations, selflessly defended this country. To preserve freedom, the Constitution, and the fundamental values that proved triumphant over tyranny during the Revolutionary War.

Today, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and women and Space Force Guardians continue to defend our democracy, and Veterans Day is reserved to honor their sacrifice.

As we reflect on nearly 250 years of American democracy, it would have not been without the sacrifices of the thousands of servicemembers that laid down their life in battle or the faithful service of millions that wore an American flag on their shoulder.

Take a pause, and thank those that gave up so much to ensure you live in the greatest nation on Earth.

To the many heroes that I have the honor of representing, I salute every single one of you.
