CABEI and the Spanish Exporters and Investors Club explore opportunities to participate in projects in the region

Madrid, September 4, 2024. One of the objectives of the meeting held today between representatives of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Spanish Exporters and Investors Club, was to support the active participation of enterprises in the bidding processes for projects carried out in the Bank's member countries, encouraging competition, and broadening the range of bidders.

The meeting was held at CABEI's Country Regional Office in Madrid with the participation of CABEI Executive President Gisela Sánchez, CABEI Country Representative for Spain and Europe Mauricio Chacón, President of the Club Antonio Bonet, and representatives of eight of the enterprises that are members of the Board of Directors of the business organization.

The Spanish Exporters and Investors Club, founded in 1977, is an independent multisectoral association that promotes internationalization as a key factor for the competitiveness of the Spanish economy. Most of its members have investments or contracts in CABEI's member countries.

Gisela Sánchez presented the Bank's new vision, including the 2025-2029 five-year strategy, highlighting current and future initiatives and projects. Antonio Bonet expressed his gratitude for the exchange of ideas and the interest in contributing to the development of the region.

CABEI's relationship with this business association began after the opening of the Country Regional Office in Madrid in February 2023. Spain joined CABEI as a non-regional member in 2005.
