Moolenaar Statement on Iran’s Attack on Israel

Today, Iran launched a series of ballistic missile attacks on Israel, escalating its effort to destroy Israel and jeopardizing the lives of millions of innocent people.

"President Biden and Vice President Harris unfroze billions of dollars for Iran and Iran has used that money to fund attacks on Israel and Americans in the region. Their weakness has led to the attacks on Israel today. Their failures have completely erased the historic successes of President Trump when Iran was isolated, and Israel and the United States signed the historic Abraham Accords with key countries in the Middle East. We must unequivocally stand with Israel and never allow the terrorist Iranian regime to wipe Israel off the face of the earth," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

The Biden-Harris administration has unfrozen billions in sanctioned funds for Iran even though Iran is the largest state-sponsor of terrorist groups in the world.

In April, Treasury Deputy Secretary Adewale Adeyemo admitted to Congress that, "What we've seen time and time from the Iranian regime, is that they fail to feed their people and they put the IRGC first," Adeyemo said. "Any dollar they have will go towards violent activity before they deal with their people."

"Amost none of the humanitarian money has been used for humanitarian purposes, because they don't care about getting drugs and food for their people," added Adeyemo.
