Half a Million Participants Enjoyed Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks this Spring & Summer
Way to get out and be active Santa Rosa! More than 500,000 participants enjoyed our City parks and recreation programs, including swim lessons, camps, sports programs, fitness classes, picnic site and field reservations, facility rentals, volunteer programs, and senior center activities. We had more than 5,000 children attend summer camps, over 80,000 visits to Howarth Park attractions, and more than 40,000 hours of community bookings for sports fields and park permits -- just to highlight a few. With over 70 parks encompassing more than 1,100 acres of parklands, two community centers, two swim centers with three city pools, and several historic destinations, the City's Recreation & Parks Department serves to connect our Santa Rosa community and promote healthy living.
