The first session starts September 5, 2024
The mission of the League City Citizens' University is to familiarize the residents and business owners of League City with the purpose, process, and structure of the city's government and equip citizens to become active participants in municipal operations.
Citizens' University is held once a year over an 11-week period every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

What Does the Program Include?
Each session will include an interactive presentation from City staff on various City services and issues, providing an understanding of how citizens play a crucial role in leading League City into the future. The course also includes tours of City facilities and a variety of demonstrations. Students are required to complete a minimum of two volunteer hours at a City event or activity. Participants are expected to attend all classes and are allowed to miss no more than one class.

Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis for any League City residents or business owners who are:
A background check will be required for admission to the program since the course will include a tour of the Public Safety Building. Class size is limited to approximately 20.
