City of Tucson HR Latest to Sign with Legal Files

"Legal Files has streamlined our process by centralizing all of the Department's information, creating a high level of standardization. The consistent field names and naming conventions have made our work so much easier."

Legal Files Software, Inc. has expanded its relationship with the City of Tucson by adding the Human Resources Department as its newest customer, making it the third City of Tucson department to adopt Legal Files' case and matter management solution for organizational and reporting needs. The City Attorney's Office has been using Legal Files since 2014 and the Legal Advisor's Office since 2017.

Prior to Legal Files, Tucson's HR Department had been using spreadsheets to track metrics. Switching to Legal Files made a major difference, according to the City's Deputy Director of Human Resources, Ryan Saxby. "The reporting in Legal Files is more detailed and robust than the information we were able to gather and provide before. Now we have better insights into the number of cases in different categories, and we can make more informed decisions based on the reports Legal Files has made available to us," he said.

The Department is using Legal Files to monitor key case milestones, making it easier to keep tabs on deadlines. Staff members are effectively leveraging many of Legal Files' robust features including custom windows, document classification, the Drop Zone (for seamlessly importing files and documents into Legal Files) and the system's Outlook integration.

"Legal Files has streamlined our process by centralizing all of the Department's information," Saxby added, "creating a high level of standardization. The consistent field names and naming conventions have made our work so much easier."
