The University of Auckland is holding an eco film festival on Saturday 9 November at the Academy Cinemas, Auckland City. It's a celebration of powerful storytelling and the need for environmental change. Tickets are FREE (online booking fee applies).
There will be short films, two feature-length documentaries, and a chance to engage with award-winning documentary filmmakers. Join one or more sessions.
11.30am - Short Films: Be inspired by short films directed by University of Auckland students, and view a special segment from the documentary 'Hot Air'.
1.30pm - The Grab: This feature length documentary uncovers global attempts to control food and water resources. Described as "A sleek, complex international thriller".
3.30pm - Milked, and Filmmakers Talk:
Watch award-winning documentary 'Milked' which looks at the dairy industry's impact on Aotearoa New Zealand. Then engage with award-winning documentary filmmakers, artist, and researchers in an insightful discussion about their work, and the power of documentaries in driving change.
This event is taking place at the Academy Cinemas, Central Library Building, 44 Lorne Street, Auckland City.
