Ahern Receives 2024 BUILD Wisconsin Award for Exceptional Specialty Contracting Work

The Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin (AGC), the most widely respected construction association in the country, has awarded Ahern with a 2024 BUILD Wisconsin award. The esteemed award recognizes Ahern's specialty contracting work for the HUB, a premiere enterprise center for accommodating and accelerating Black- and other BIPOC-owned businesses.

The BUILD Wisconsin Award is a testament to Ahern's unwavering commitment to excellence. Entries for the award were assessed on four criteria: sustainable practices, craftsmanship, innovation, and meeting difficult challenges.

While the project started as simple office HVAC and fire protection services, as the HUB expanded, so did Ahern's scope of work. With 16 buildouts completed, Ahern's teams had to adapt the plans during ongoing work, a significant challenge. Ahern's craftsmanship and innovation were shown through its rigorous pre-planning, specialty trades proficiency, and prefabrication expertise. These critical components ensured efficiency and safety throughout the installation process, leading to the realization of the transformative project.
