Reclamation announces temporary traffic restrictions near Hayden Arch Bridge

MILLS, Wyo.- The Bureau of Reclamation, in partnership with the U.S. Federal Highways Administration, is set to conduct geotechnical drilling along the riverbank of Hayden Arch Bridge from July 7-19.

The drilling is a process of data collection activities that will assist in the design work to guide the future rehabilitation of the existing Hayden Arch Bridge and construct a new adjacent bridge.

As part of the data collection activities to assist in design work, FHWA will be conducting geotechnical drilling along the riverbank on both sides of Hayden Arch Bridge. This essential work will inform the design and construction process, ensuring the highest standards of safety and durability.

Temporary traffic pattern schedule:

  • July 7-11 - FHWA will operate Hayden Arch Bridge as a single lane of traffic with flaggers.
  • July 12-14 - There will be a full road closure between Highway 14/16/20 (North Fork Highway) and Hayden Arch Bridge.
  • July 15-19 - FHWA will again operate Hayden Arch Bridge as a single lane of traffic with flaggers.

Given these disruptions, Reclamation encourages the public to avoid the Hayden Arch Bridge area between July 7-19. We appreciate the public's understanding and patience during this time and are confident that these improvements will greatly benefit our community in the long run.
