Wag, you’re it: Adopt your new best friend on the spot this Saturday

In the market for a four-legged friend? Huntsville Animal Services invites the community to "Adopt on the Spot" at a pop-up event Saturday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. at Petsense, 3110 Mountain Cove Circle SE, Owens Cross Roads.

Whether you're looking for a playful puppy, loyal adult dog or cuddly kitten, this event is the perfect opportunity to find a new companion.

To help ease the adoption process, Animal Services will accept cash or checks. Animal Services staff will assist with paperwork and answer questions about pet care and adoption procedures.

"Adopting a pet from Huntsville Animal Services provides a loving home for an animal in need," Interim Director Virgie Graham said. "It also helps us continue our mission to care for and protect the animals of our community.
