Cryoport Systems commemorated the significant expansion of its Pont-du-Château facility in France with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This celebration additionally marked the official rebranding of Cell&Co BioServices to Cryoport Systems, which is a significant step in including the French facility into Cryoport, Inc.'s global operations. The French facility hosted a party for employees that featured attendance by both local suppliers and Biopôle organizations, including friends from GIMRA (Groupe des industries de Santé et du Médicaments). The kick-off event was a noteworthy way to showcase the upgraded site and commemorate this milestone within Cryoport Systems' global presence.

Up Close & Personal with a Facility Tour

Event attendees had the opportunity to tour the newly expanded 1,040 m² facility and see the added storage capacity and new operational capabilities in person. The tour included highlights like the secondary packaging area for commercial and clinical products, the refill-in station dedicated to refilling shippers to improve logistics efficiency, and the increased office space for employees.

Participants were given the opportunity to get up close and personal with Cryoport Systems' shipping systems. Presentations of the Cryoport Elite™, the C3™, and HV2™ shippers showcased Cryoport Systems' robust support of sensitive material shipments. These shipping systems encompass an important aspect of Cryoport Systems' nexus of compliant supply chain solutions for the life sciences industry, and attendees were shown a demonstration of its capabilities.

A Celebration of Supply Chain Excellence

Cell&Co has been a crucial part of Cryoport Systems' growth in the EMEA region. The kick-off celebration and overall rebranding brings together the two organizations' support on a global scale through superior temperature-controlled supply chain solutions. Attendees enjoyed catered refreshments and the opportunity to speak with other local businesses that also support the life sciences within the region.

To mark the occasion, speeches were given by Cryoport Systems' leadership team, including keynotes from Mark Sawicki, Rob Jones, and Florent Belon. Mark Sawicki, Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the journey of Cell&Co's integration into Cryoport Systems and the strategic importance of the facility expansion. Rob Jones, Vice President, Global Bioservices, detailed the impact of the BioServices activity at the French site and the employees' contributions to supporting this change. Florent Belon, Managing Director / Sales & Marketing Director-FRA, spoke on Cell&Co's rich history in supporting the life sciences and the opportunities joining the Cryoport, Inc. network will present to innovating and evolving within the space.
