Seeking Volunteers to Mulch Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Gardens

Come join the Parks crew at MLK Jr. Memorial Gardens as we add some mulch to prepare the area in honor of MLK Day.

Learn proper mulching techniques and how to safely use the hand tools involved.

Duties and Impact: Volunteers will use wheelbarrows, pitchforks, hard rakes, and other tools as needed to help spread mulch and in designated areas. By volunteering, you will not only enhance the look of the park, but will also help with controlling weeds and increasing water retention where we mulch.

Work Environment: We will be working outside in the elements. There is the possibility for uneven ground. There will be a restroom on site.
