On November 4, 2024, Troopers out of SP Albion arrested Jefferson D. Butler, 42 of Batavia, NY for Driving While Intoxicated, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree - Assault Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Drug Paraphernalia.

On November 4, 2024, Troopers out of SP Albion received a call for a check the welfare of a male slumped behind the wheel on Lewiston Road in the town of Batavia. Investigation Determined that Butler was intoxicated and possessed approximately 6.51 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, an AR-15 style Ruger rifle that had a threaded barrel with the ability to accept a detachable magazine and 22 rounds of ammunition.

Butler was processed without incident and transported to Genesee County CAP for arraignment.
