DCAA 2023 Team of the Year Award

The Operations Technical Audit Services (OTS) Quantitative Methods Center of Excellence (QM CoE) team was named the DCAA 2023 Team of the Year for their outstanding accomplishments. Despite being a relatively new team, the QM CoE team made significant contributions to DCAA's mission. Throughout the year they developed and deployed new software that improved the agency's statistical modeling capabilities that created more efficient audit processes. The team provided extensive training on the new system and set an agency record with over 1,800 participants. This work streamlined sampling procedures and set a new standard for technical proficiency and professionalism at DCAA.

Additionally, the QM CoE plays an instrumental role enhancing DCAA's statistical modeling programs. They introduced new methodologies and techniques that improve DCAA's technical analyses. The team's work continues to help other regions and offices overcome complex audit challenges, providing detailed analysis and recommendations resulting in more accurate and reliable audit outcomes. The QM CoE's dedication to continuous improvement and their ability to adapt to overcome challenges makes them an invaluable team to the agency.
