Public Safety Power Shutoff, Red Flag Warning, and Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings Notification

Due to current weather forecasts, PG&E has issued a courtesy notification of a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event for Alameda County. PSPS events take place during times of high fire risk and frequently impact those residents in designated high fire risk areas.

Additionally, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Alameda County from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, until 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7. Red Flag Warnings take place when weather conditions are right for extreme wildfire events.

With the combination of a potential PSPS event and the Red Flag Warning, PG&E's Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS) may be enabled at higher settings than normal, which may lead to an unplanned power outage. We encourage residents to be prepared by visiting the City's Disaster Preparedness webpage at https://dublin.ca.gov/94/Disaster-Preparedness.

Residents are also encouraged to visit PG&E's Outages and Safety webpage at https://www.pge.com/en/outages-and-safety.html, or the National Weather Service at https://www.weather.gov/mtr/.

As always, please make sure to sign up for PG&E alerts to make sure you are receiving up-to-date information on any outages.
