DENVER (July 17, 2024) - The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) and the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP) are pleased to announce the FPA of New England as the recipient of the 2024 Power of Financial Planning Award. The award is in recognition of their commitment to delivering pro bono financial planning in the spirit of FPA's Primary Aim: To elevate the profession that transforms lives through the power of financial planning.
In its sixth year, the Power of Financial Planning Award recognizes an FPA chapter and its members' efforts over the past 12 months to provide quality pro bono financial planning and advice to underserved populations.
"FPA chapters and members have played a significant role in engaging underserved communities nationwide to offer pro bono financial planning advice. They understand that such advice can be life-changing and lead to long-term financial well-being," says 2024 FPA President Claudia Kane, CFP®. "FPA of New England has proactively engaged the local community to make financial planning more readily accessible to those who need it. We look forward to recognizing their impactful work at FPA Annual Conference 2024 in Columbus from September 18-20."
FPA of New England is being recognized with this year's Power of Financial Planning Award to celebrate its close collaboration with several organizations working to improve the financial wellness of people in the region, specifically Massachusetts. The FPA Awards Committee recommended, and the FPA Board of Directors approved, FPA of New England as the recipient of the 2024 Power of Financial Planning Award.
