New Imagination Station finds home at Napa County Health and Human Services Agency

Napa County and Children's Museum of Napa Valley to celebrate ribbon cutting of new Imagination Station play area.

NAPA, CA - Marking a vision coming to life through community collaboration, Napa County Health and Human Services Agency and nonprofit organization Children's Museum of Napa Valley (CMONV) will celebrate the new Imagination Station interactive area located at Napa County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Monday, August 5. The Imagination Station is a space dedicated to the children in the community to learn and grow through exploration and play.

"We are thrilled to have this inviting space for families who come to HHSA to seek important county services," said Jennifer Yasumoto, Director of Napa County Health and Human Services Agency. "The Imagination Station is a testament to the great work we can accomplish as a community through the power of partnerships."

The Imagination Station is an educational program developed by the Children's Museum of Napa Valley that centers around essential foundational skills involving problem-solving, early math, literacy, and science. The indoor space features games, books, a play kitchen, puppet theater and more that are designed to provide hands on activities to encourage families to learn and play together.

"After many years collaborating with various organizations in our community, we are proud to partner with Napa County Health and Human Services Agency and First 5 Napa County to create a learning-rich space for Napa County's children," said Alicia Garcia, Co-Founder and President of the CMONV. "We appreciate the collaboration of our partners who supported the vision of the Children's Museum of Napa Valley to help make this happen. We look forward to growing within the community, bringing a robust educational space to fruition, and continuing to provide essential learning platforms for all types of learners."

The Imagination Station is funded through a grant by non-profit First 5 Napa County. The Imagination Station space at Napa County HHSA builds on the success of the Too Small to Fail pilot program, a partnership between the Clinton Foundation, California Department of Social Services, and Napa County to create early learning and language opportunities for children.

The media and public are invited to attend the ribbon cutting and open house on Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. at Napa County Health and Human Services Agency in the Self Sufficiency Services lobby located at 2751 Napa Valley Corporate Drive - Building A. Representatives from Napa County HHSA and CMONV will be available for interviews.
