TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County Traffic Pattern Change on Rt 72 at I 95
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is pleased to announce that the current Contraflow Configuration on Rt 72 between Peoples Drive and Scottfield Drive will be removed starting the night of Wednesday, August 28th.
It is anticipated that all lanes in both directions of Rt 72 (2 northbound and 2 southbound) will be operational on Thursday, August 29th. Periodic lane closures may still be required throughout the rest of the project of building the I-95 overpasses associated with the reconfiguration of the I-95/Rt 896 interchange.
The Department extends its thanks to the local residents, businesses and motorists for their patience over the past 15 months while the I-95 overpass was widened.
