Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline

As we near Veterans Day, the City of Dublin would like to thank all veterans for their wonderful service to our country. We also recognize that many veterans struggle daily with mental health issues. The 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available at any time for counsel and support.

Anyone can call or text 9-8-8 or visit 988lifeline.org for themselves or if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support. This number serves as a universal entry point so that no matter where you live in the United States, you can reach a caring, trained counselor who can help.

The 9-8-8 number offers 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. That could be:

  • Thoughts of suicide
  • Mental health or substance use crises
  • Emotional distress

Don't suffer alone. Whether or not you are in the military, are a veteran, or just someone experiencing mental distress, please contact the crisis hotline at 9-8-8 if you need support.
