Officers Recovered over $1,300 in Stolen Merchandise

At about 3:45 PM, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, officers assigned to District C-4 (South End) arrested James Wheeler, 35, of Dorchester, on larceny charges.

Officers responded to the area of 760 Boylston Street for a report of a larceny in progress. Officers were provided a description of the suspect, and that the suspect fled the area towards Ring Road. Officers quickly observed the suspect, and placed him into handcuffs. Officers were able to recover approximately $1,322 in stolen merchandise and returned the items to the store.

Wheeler was placed under arrest and charged with Larceny over $1,200. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
