TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closure on Metairie Road Overpass for Streetlight Repairs

NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Wednesday, July 17 at approximately 9 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the eastbound right lane along the stretch of the Metairie Road Overpass between the Lake Lawn entrance and Hollygrove Street. This closure will include the Exit 232. For more details, please refer to the attached map.

Throughout the closure period, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area.

This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs by DPW contractor All Star Electric and marks another step in the ongoing collaborative effort between DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs.

By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
