SOLMOVSA is a prominent tech company based in Ecuador that was looking for a solution to improve the accuracy of damage claims in the insurance sector in the LAC region. The German startup MotionsCloud mixes Artificial Intelligence with Computer Vision to offer a mobile web solution to conduct vehicle damage assessments. A match made in heaven? They found each other thanks to the Digital Accelerator of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance.

The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator is an initiative funded by the EU under the EU-LAC Digital Alliance, focused on connecting companies with specific challenges with innovative solutions provided by start-ups and SMEs from across Europe and LAC.

The accelerator offers customised services to develop joint business starting by initial matching and then organising B2B meetings to transform collaborations into joint-venture opportunities. The Accelerator also leverages the impact of digital projects by connecting them with relevant public and private investors and innovative financial tools.

To ensure a smooth rollout of the solution in Ecuador and beyond, the partnership will benefit from a set of services provided by experts from WAYRA Hispam and TECNALIA Research & Innovation. During their journey in the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, these experts will support the integration of MotionsCloud's technology into SOLMOVSA's platform, the validation of the solution in a natural environment and the growth of the solution in the market.

Looking for a match?

The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator has launched a call to offer acceleration services to corporates and start-ups that can join forces to develop Cleantech and Smart Production solutions.

Companies from the EU and LAC seeking or offering digital solutions can apply until the 31 October 2024.
