Webinars Introduce ICANN’s New gTLD Program: Next Round RSP Evaluation Program

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organization will host two webinars to provide information about the Registry Service Provider (RSP) Evaluation Program. Developed as part of the New gTLD Program: Next Round, the program is for RSPs that intend to provide registry services to applicants in the New gTLD Program: Next Round.

Aimed at RSPs and the ICANN community, the webinars will provide an overview of the requirements for evaluation, a description of the testing that will be conducted, and an explanation of the overall evaluation process. All New gTLD Program: Next Round applicants are required to use evaluated RSPs. RSPs successfully evaluated during the pre-evaluation period, which runs before the opening of the new generic top-level domain (gTLD) application submission period, will be eligible for inclusion on the initial public list of evaluated RSPs. An additional RSP evaluation period will take place when the gTLD application submission period opens. Through the RSP Evaluation Program, RSPs need only be evaluated once, no matter how many gTLDs they wish to support.

The webinars will be recorded and presented in English with simultaneous interpretation available in Arabic and French during the 1 October 2024 webinar and Chinese and Spanish during the 2 October 2024 webinar. Please register in advance to receive details on how to join.

The webinar will be held during two time slots and you only need to register for one. Click below to register.

Webinar 1: Tuesday, 1 October 2024 from 15:00-16:00 UTC.

Webinar 2: Wednesday, 2 October 2024 from 00:00-1:00 UTC.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address - a name or a number - into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
