Permit work will require closure of Chestnut Ave. in Kansas City, Nov. 18-Jan. 31

Crews will CLOSE Chestnut Ave. in between E. 52nd St. South to E. 54th St.

JACKSON COUNTY - Permit work by the Kansas City Water Services Department will CLOSE Chestnut Ave. in between E. 52nd Street South to E. 54th Street and the side connecting streets in the work area. This work will take place from Monday, Nov. 18 until Friday, Jan. 31, 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, the closure will be reopened on the weekends. The city will provide a signed detour in the work area for traffic during the work. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
