Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov met with Akim of Shymkent Gabit Syzdykbekov. During the negotiations, the parties discussed cooperation in the gas sector, preparations for the autumn-winter period, and gas supply for new investment projects in the industrial zone.

According to the head of QazaqGaz, the level of gasification in Shymkent is 96%. In addition, by the end of 2024, seven settlements in the region will be connected to gas supply.

"One of the most important tasks the Head of State assigned to QazaqGaz is the uninterrupted natural gas supply to residents. Therefore, we are doing everything possible to carry out the upcoming heating season without unforeseen situations. In this regard, effective interaction with local executive bodies is significant for us," added Sanzhar Zharkeshov.

In Shymkent, work is underway to digitalize gas metering, including installing smart meters. To date, 2,505 meters have been installed, which has ensured 100% digital gas metering. In turn, the measures taken increase the efficiency of preparatory work for the upcoming heating season, help prevent various incidents and promptly repair defects.

In addition, many new projects are being implemented in Shymkent to attract investors and develop production and industry. These projects will require additional commercial gas capacity; therefore, a proposal to build a new gas distribution station is being considered, which will meet the needs of production enterprises.
