STATEMENT: Michigan Dems are Fighting for Freedom with Harris-Walz

CHICAGO - Tonight, Michigan Delegates heard from leaders across the country about the threats that Trump and his extremist Project 2025 agenda pose to our most fundamental freedoms. As President Clinton, Governor Walz, and Michigan's-own Attorney General Dana Nessel spoke, Americans got to see a Democratic Party that fights for our people, our freedoms, and our future. Following tonight's conclusion, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:

"Tonight was a joyous celebration of our values as Democrats and a stark reminder of the freedoms that are at stake this November. This fight is about the future of our freedom in America, because Republicans will stop at nothing to take away everything we hold dear.

"Donald Trump and J.D. Vance want to drag us backwards, and Michiganders won't stand for it. Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz on the other hand don't just talk about freedom, they fight for it. We have a clear choice in this election, and I'm confident that Michiganders and Americans alike will turn out for Harris and Walz this election."
