Hoyer Statement on Meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy
WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement today after meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at the U.S. Capitol:
"Today, I joined a group of Democratic and Republican leaders in a meeting with President Zelenskyy to reaffirm our support for his country's cause - freedom's cause, democracy's cause, the cause of international law. I was pleased that such a broad, bipartisan assortment of legislators joined in expressing that commitment in today's meeting.
"President Zelenskyy continues to make a compelling case for why the fight to defeat Vladimir Putin's criminal invasion is so critical to Ukraine, to America, and to the entire free world. We will continue to stand with him, our allies, and the people of Ukraine until victory is won."
