Richard J. Daley College Eligible for New Federal Postsecondary Success Recognition Program

Richard J. Daley College is one of 200 colleges and universities eligible for the U.S. Department of Education's new Postsecondary Success Recognition Program.

As part of the Biden administration's "Raise the Bar" initiative, the Postsecondary Success Recognition Program seeks to challenge the conventional exclusive view of higher education. Instead, the program emphasizes the importance of equity, inclusion, and student success. By focusing on these measures, Richard J. Daley College is being recognized as a leading institution that supports students in achieving impressive graduation and transfer rates that lead to students beginning successful careers. This highlights Daley's dedication to promoting social mobility and creating opportunities for underserved students, including those from low-income backgrounds and students of color.

This recognition makes Daley eligible to apply for the Postsecondary Success Recognition Program which includes a summit. This summit teaches educators about integrating wraparound supports into holistic advising, guiding students to career success beyond completion, and more. The institutions that make the program will be announced in 2025.
