New York Law Journal Recognizes Dechert for Innovation, Diversity and Litigation Successes

The New York Law Journal has named Dechert among its top law firms of the year, praising the firm's successes in innovation, diversity and litigation in the New York Legal Awards 2024. These awards were established to honor those firms, lawyers and judges who, in the publication's view, have made "a remarkable difference in the legal profession in New York".

In the "Law Firm Innovation" category, Dechert was named winner for launching an Innovation Incubator designed to foster micro-innovation within the firm. The vehicle has proved highly successful in channeling attorney time towards projects with potential to change the way the firm does business and deliver increased value to clients. Over 1,000 projects are now conducted each year using technology pioneered by the Incubator, which has led to significant value creation for clients.

The publication also praised Dechert's approach to diversity, equity and inclusion, recognizing the firm as a "Diversity Initiative" finalist and singling out Satra Sampson-Arokium, Dechert's Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, for her success in developing "best in class" DEI initiatives and programming.

Dechert's Products Liability and Mass Torts practice was also named a "Products Liability Litigation Department of the Year" finalist for sustained success in appellate, federal, and state courts across the country on behalf of high-profile clients across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, manufacturing, and insurance.

Winners in all categories were recognized at a ceremony at Pier Sixty, New York City on September 5.
