Manchin Announces More Than $4.3 Million for 23 Rural Development Projects Across West Virginia

Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $4,352,389 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development program for 23 projects across West Virginia. The funding will support the purchase and installation of solar arrays, as well as the development of renewable energy systems for communities throughout the state.

"Investing in our communities is essential for economic development and creating long-term prosperity," said Senator Manchin. "I'm pleased the USDA is investing more than $4.3 million in these 23 energy efficiency improvement projects across West Virginia. These projects will lower energy costs for agricultural producers and rural small business owners as well as strengthen the resiliency of their operations. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for funding to ensure our rural communities have the resources they need to thrive."
